Last week we read a book together called Memory Bottles, written by Beth Shoshan. A story about a little boy whose curiosity leads him to ask an old man what is in his little wooden shed. The old man opens the door for the little boy, revealing numerous beautiful, colourful bottles, all of different shapes and sizes. The old man shows the little boy how he can take the top off each bottle and one very special memory will come rushing back to him.
We have used this book as an inspiration for our own art. We think our memory bottles look stunning on our 'shelf' in our classroom! What do you think?
Soon we are going to begin filling our bottles with our own special memories. Watch this space... Mrs Stephen has a trick up her sleeve that she is hoping to pull out very soon!
